José Vergara, also known as Frankie Jazz, is a Cartagena-born, Colombian artist, photographer, designer, and director specializing in portraiture, entertainment, and advertising. Drawing inspiration from 1990s music, an informal documentary approach, and rigorous technical self-training, his work is recognized for its vibrant color, atmospheric depth, and distinct visual storytelling.
Over the past decade, Frankie Jazz’s editorial photography has been featured in leading publications in the United States and Colombia, including The L.A. Times, Rolling Stone, Billboard, Hola!, and Maxim. His images have also graced album covers for high-profile artists such as Sebastián Yatra, Silvestre Dangond, Don Omar, Carlos Vives, Mau y Ricky, Nacho, Alejandro Santamaría, Gusi, Diamante Eléctrico, Jonas Brothers, Ricky Martin, and Santiago Cruz.
